Inger Wikström, born on December 11, 1939, in Stockholm, is a celebrated Swedish pianist and composer. She began piano lessons at the age of six and made her public debut just two years later. She continued her studies with Gottfrid Boon at the Stockholm Academy of Music and later with Ilona Kabos in London. At sixteen, she made her debut with the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21—a performance that earned her the title of "Artist of the Year."

Wikström’s career as a concert pianist has taken her across the globe, with extensive tours throughout Scandinavia, Europe, the United States, South America, the former Soviet Union, Africa, Israel, China, and Japan. She has appeared at major international festivals in cities such as Moscow, Dubrovnik, Spoleto, and Vienna, and has performed on radio and television in numerous countries.
